Laval Christmas Market at the Centre de la Nature: artisans and wooden huts in December
For two weekends a year, the play area at Laval’s Centre de la Nature fills up with wooden huts run by local artisans and producers. In 2026, the market runs December 4 to 6 and 11 to 13, and the City will publish the hours and the list of exhibitors in November.

Every December, the Centre de la Nature in Laval hosts an outdoor Christmas market, the Marché de Noël de Laval. For two weekends, wooden huts set up in the park’s play area house artisans and producers. The event is organized by the City of Laval, in a large urban park bordered by Boulevard Pie-IX and Avenue du Parc.
Why go? To find handmade gifts, taste local products and spend a few hours outdoors with the family. The City highlights local crafts, treats and plenty of free activities: in 2025, they ranged from hot chocolate to a train ride.
Artisans, treats and wooden huts
In 2025, the market brought together about fifty exhibitors: 54 on the first weekend and 55 on the second. About half of them were in the food and drink category, including Domaine du Petit Saint-Joseph, Érablière et Vergers Varin, Ferme Sarrazin, EDMN Distillerie, Domaine Ives Hill, Pain d’épices d’antan and Vieux Balsamique.
The rest covered jewellery, handmade clothing and textiles (Ferme Vallée des Alpagas was there), decorations, children’s items, body care and candles. Food trucks also made it possible to eat on site. Keep in mind that the list changes from year to year and that some exhibitors only come for one of the two weekends. Holiday season 2026: dates confirmed, hours to come
The City of Laval has announced the dates of the 2026 edition: from Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 6, then from Friday, December 11 to Sunday, December 13. Opening hours, the list of exhibitors and the program will be released in November. For reference, in 2025 the market was open Friday from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In 2025, families could enjoy, continuously and free of charge, hot chocolate under the Halte nordique tent, a corner for writing to Santa, a reading corner, face painting for kids, a workshop to plant and decorate a small tree to take home and a LEGO display at the Village des arts. A free train ride was also offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 2026 program may be different.
Good to know: access, parking and accessibility
The Centre de la Nature is a municipal park of about 50 hectares, open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and admission is free. During the market, its regular parking lots remain open: they are free for Laval residents with proof of residence and cost non-residents $6 for three hours or $9 for the day, according to the rates posted in October 2026.
Without a car, several STL bus routes connect the park to the Cartier, De la Concorde and Montmorency metro stations. The City states that the event is accessible to people with reduced mobility, people who are blind and people who are hard of hearing, with reserved spaces in parking lot P3 (SAAQ parking permit required). Leashed dogs are allowed on site, and a Nourri-Source breastfeeding space was set up at the Village des arts in 2025. Sortir au Québec also mentions a heated shelter and washrooms on site.
