The Marché public de Noël de Mégantic is the holiday edition of Lac-Mégantic's public market. Behind it is the Marché public Mégantic, a solidarity co-operative that brings producers, artisans and residents together around buying local. In summer and early fall, the co-op also runs a covered market late on Friday afternoons, from late June to mid-October.

The Christmas market itself lasts just one weekend, in late November. It's a chance to buy directly from the people who make the products, find gifts made in the region and stock your pantry before the holidays. What you'll find: producers, artisans and Christmas trees

According to Sortir au Québec, the Christmas market brings together more than forty local producers and artisans. The listing also mentions a bistro, a bar, Christmas trees for sale, bonfires and music over the three days.

The co-op doesn't publish a list of Christmas market vendors. Holiday season 2026: dates still to be confirmed

For 2026, Sortir au Québec lists the market from Friday, November 27 to Sunday, November 29, 2026, at Lessard Centre Jardin, 2265, rue Laval, in Nantes. These are dates announced by Sortir au Québec, to be confirmed with the organizer: as of October 15, 2026, neither the co-op's website nor the Association des marchés publics du Québec (AMPQ) listing presented the 2026 edition, and opening hours had not been published.

In 2025, the market was held from November 28 to 30 at the Centre sportif Mégantic, in Lac-Mégantic. It was open Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Above all, remember that this market takes place in late November, not in December.

Good to know: a co-op and a Friday market

According to its AMPQ listing, the Marché public Mégantic aims to be a meeting place for producers, artisans and residents that encourages buying directly from vendors and supports the local economy. Its regular market is covered and has 6 to 18 stalls. It runs on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., from June 19 to October 16, 2026, on Rue Papineau in Lac-Mégantic, across from the Metro grocery store, according to the co-op's website.
