Marcher Noël in Saint-Jérôme isn't a market set up in a single spot. It's a walking route through downtown, organized by the City of Saint-Jérôme, that links Place des Festivités, the Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault, several exhibition halls and participating shops. In 2025, the route also took in Christmas markets run by community organizations and schools, according to the Association des marchés publics du Québec (AMPQ).
After a fourth edition in 2025, the event returns from December 4 to 6, 2026. Why go? To do your holiday shopping with artisans and producers, discover downtown shops and enjoy activities for the whole family, walking from one spot to the next.
What you'll find: artisans, local products and activities
The City announces crafts from here and elsewhere, local products, food discoveries, creative workshops, shows, meet-and-greets with vendors and a visit from Santa. The event description on the municipal website mentions more than 120 vendors. The 2026 call for applications is closed, but the vendor list hasn't been published yet.
The project is funded by Quebec's Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ). Take the opportunity to stock your holiday table with products from the region: our traditional Quebec holiday recipes will give you menu ideas.
Holiday season 2026: December 4 to 6
The City of Saint-Jérôme has published the dates of the 2026 edition: Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 6, 2026, downtown. Opening hours aren't known yet, since the detailed program is to be unveiled this fall.
To give you an idea, the 2025 edition ran from December 5 to 7: Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., then Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check the 2026 schedule on the City's website before you head out.
Good to know: the downtown public market
Saint-Jérôme also has a covered public market, on Rue Parent and Rue Melançon, near Place de la Gare. It's open from April 15 to November 15, 2026, so it will be closed during Marcher Noël. Vendors are generally there on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In 2026, the City lists 43 vendors there, 21 permanent and 22 occasional; most of the permanent vendors sell fruit and vegetables.
Since 2015, vendors have donated part of their unsold produce to Moisson Laurentides, which distributes it to local food banks. The market has also earned Kéroul's accessible rating.
