The companies on this list are unverified partners: Écodici has not checked their file. Each one holds an active licence in the Régie du bâtiment du Québec registry as of October 16, 2026. Their listing is free and unsponsored: it is not a recommendation. Compare at least two written quotes.
In Abitibi-Témiscamingue, -8 °C feels like a mild January day. The 1991–2020 normals give an average of -15.1 °C in Rouyn-Noranda and -16.3 °C in Val-d'Or, with 5,657 and 5,959 heating degree-days a year, up to 39% more than Montreal. On January 2, 2014, Val-d'Or recorded -42.7 °C.
That changes how you shop. LogisVert calculates the rebate on the unit's capacity at -8 °C, but where you live, much of the winter is colder than that. According to Hydro-Québec, below their minimum operating temperature, between -15 °C and -25 °C for newer models, air-source heat pumps shut off and the backup heats the whole house. Choose an ENERGY STAR Cold Climate model with demand defrost, as Hydro-Québec recommends, and think of the heat pump as an efficient complement to your heating system, not a replacement.
In Amos, part of the city is served by the municipal electricity department, at the same rates as Hydro-Québec; its customers are eligible for LogisVert. Everywhere in the region, the rebate is $120 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8 °C for a Cold Climate unit and $50 for an ENERGY STAR model, or $3,600 versus $1,500 for 30,000 BTU/h. Don't count on Chauffez vert, closed since March 31, 2026, on Rénoclimat for heating, or on the free heat pump (2026–2027 registration closed). The federal rebate announced on October 8, 2026, isn't open yet.
With the distances involved, ask who will handle maintenance and service calls, and at what cost. Check the RBQ register for subclasses 15.9 or 15.10 and 15.1, 15.7 or 15.8, and CMMTQ or CETAF membership. Our LogisVert guide, our contractor check guide and the calculator will help you decide.
First the companies based in the region, then those that serve it from elsewhere, then those that serve all of Quebec, in alphabetical order.

No 15.1, 15.7 or 15.8 subclass on this licence: along with 15.9 or 15.10, Hydro-Québec requires one for a heat pump to qualify for LogisVert. Ask the company how it handles this.

We looked for companies that advertise this service on their own website, then kept only those whose licence is active in the Régie du bâtiment du Québec open data. For heat pumps, the licence must also include a refrigeration subclass (15.9 or 15.10). When a subclass that Hydro-Québec requires for LogisVert is missing (15.1, 15.7 or 15.8 for a heat pump; 11.2 or 13.5, and 16, for solar panels), the listing says so. The service area is the one the company advertises. Nobody paid to be listed here, and no company has been rated: check the licence, insurance and references yourself before you sign. Check a contractor before you sign: RBQ licence, CMMTQ and CMEQ
