Heat pump installers in Chaudière-Appalaches
The companies on this list are unverified partners: Écodici has not checked their file. Each one holds an active licence in the Régie du bâtiment du Québec registry as of October 16, 2026. Their listing is free and unsponsored: it is not a recommendation. Compare at least two written quotes.
In Lévis, the closest station is across the river, in Sainte-Foy: -11.3 °C in January and 4,823 heating degree-days a year. The Lauzon station, on the Lévis side, shows -12.1 °C and 5,018 degree-days, about 17% more than Montreal, and it recorded -39 °C on January 26, 1994 (1991–2020 normals). In the Beauce and the Appalachians, your installer should size the system for your house and your area, not a regional average.
The smart move here: an ENERGY STAR Cold Climate model, which performs better in very cold weather according to Hydro-Québec, and backup heat that takes over when the unit reaches its limit, between -15 °C and -25 °C for newer models. And don't oversize to inflate the rebate: an overly powerful unit dehumidifies poorly in summer.
Hydro-Québec serves the whole region, and we found no municipal heat pump program. LogisVert pays $120 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8 °C for a Cold Climate unit, $50 for an ENERGY STAR model. Replacing a central system? For a geothermal heat pump, the LogisVert page lists $750 per 1,000 BTU/h, taken directly off the installer's invoice. The free heat pump for modest-income households is being rolled out in Chaudière-Appalaches, but 2026–2027 registration is closed. Chauffez vert is over, Rénoclimat no longer funds heating, and the federal rebate announced on October 8, 2026, isn't open yet.
Get at least three written quotes, as the RBQ suggests, with the exact model and its capacity at -8 °C. Check the licence in the register (15.9 or 15.10, plus 15.1, 15.7 or 15.8) and CMMTQ or CETAF membership. You can also look at Capitale-Nationale. Our heat pump guide, our contractor check guide and the calculator round things out.

No 15.1, 15.7 or 15.8 subclass on this licence: along with 15.9 or 15.10, Hydro-Québec requires one for a heat pump to qualify for LogisVert. Ask the company how it handles this.

How we built this list
We looked for companies that advertise this service on their own website, then kept only those whose licence is active in the Régie du bâtiment du Québec open data. For heat pumps, the licence must also include a refrigeration subclass (15.9 or 15.10). When a subclass that Hydro-Québec requires for LogisVert is missing (15.1, 15.7 or 15.8 for a heat pump; 11.2 or 13.5, and 16, for solar panels), the listing says so. The service area is the one the company advertises. Nobody paid to be listed here, and no company has been rated: check the licence, insurance and references yourself before you sign. Check a contractor before you sign: RBQ licence, CMMTQ and CMEQ
