Home battery installers in the Laurentians

In the Laurentians, outages are often counted in the tens of thousands. Starting on December 21, 2012, heavy snow cut power to more than 120,000 customers in Quebec, 110,000 of them in the Laurentians. On April 6, 2023, the day after the ice storm, about 110,000 customers in the region were without power. And the May 21, 2022 derecho put the region among the five hardest hit in Quebec.
If your project is for a cottage, note that Rénoclimat funds neither the fixed battery nor the backup source connection in a secondary residence. For a principal residence, the grant reaches $4,000 for the battery, for work done since October 1, 2026: at least 5 kWh, a system permanently connected to the panel, a true sine wave inverter (1.2 kW continuous, 2.5 kW surge), grid-connected and compliant with Hydro-Québec standard E.12-07. The backup source connection measure, for its part, pays up to $1,000 of a master electrician's fees. No stacking with other public assistance, and LogisVert excludes storage.
The whole region is served by Hydro-Québec, so Rate Flex D is available. Hydro-Québec announces each peak demand event the day before, by 3 p.m., by email or push notification, and electricity then costs 46.463¢/kWh for 4 hours. A battery programmed to take over at that moment avoids that price, within the limits of its capacity. With solar panels on net metering, however, Flex D is not allowed.

When a subclass that Hydro-Québec requires for LogisVert is missing (15.1, 15.7 or 15.8 for a heat pump; 11.2 or 13.5, and 16, for solar panels), the listing says so.
